Fes, Morocco>

Hey our non-Japanese speaking friends!
We have decided to write in English as well at the end - just the summery and photo explanations, though. There might be lots of mistakes as we don't want to spend too much time translating which can quite possibly make us feel sick of it and stop writing. But hope it will be some help to enjoy our blog, and we'll try our best not to make this the first and last english version...

Nador is the port city which we made our first step into Africa. We are still thinking about heading south overland to central Africa, but even only Morocco looks quite long to cross...)

Manager of the guesthouse we stayed. This 53-year-old guy from Casablanka had been working as a police for 26 years.)

Our breakfast in Nador. Typical Moroccan Mint tea with lots of suger and Moroccan crepe.)

We've arrived at Nador, Morocco, on 10th of Aug, after 6 hours of ferry ride from Almeria, Spain! Although we were already quite tired from the hot and humid weather in Spain, arriving in another continent, Africa, cheered us up again!!

Ferry was nicer than we expected! Occupying a room of four cosy beds, just by two of us. 47 euro each was not cheap for us, but there weren't any cheaper option like "deck seat", and anyway we enjoyed the trip. Motoko even spotted quite a few dolphins, which made her really excited!

Spain looked quite different from other European countries we visited so far, not too organized in good way (we would say), and made us feel, we are "a bit" back on the road. But after arriving to Nador in Morocco, and saw the people with ethnic clothes, and old man holding live chickens made us feel that we are "really" back of the road!

We moved to Fes after staying one night in Nador and 6 hour bus ride was unbeliebably hard. There was no air-con so we could only get hot wind from the small windows and we had to pour water from the bottle directly on our clothes to fight the heat. This time of the year, the western Africa can be extremely hot and it can be very hard to move overland, so we start to think more seriously to fly to the eastern Africa, let's say, Kenya, from Morocco.

Hey Motoko and Yuki,
So, you guys already have arrived in Africa! Great! Yes, it could be better for you guys to take a flight in lieu of crossing the huge continent so as to stay energetic and focus on wildlives!
By the way, I was just wondering whether you must have any vaccination before visiting some part of Africa.
Waiting for your amazing pictures, man!

We are searching for good flight connection to Kenya or around, but its anyway quite expensive... seems because its a high season at the moment. The cheapest one we found so far to Kenya is 1500euro(about 250000yen). Think we have to do some part overland to make it cheap enough... We took 2 vaccinations for 4 diseases. Check couple of entries before.

Hey! good to hear that you are doing fine! It seems they play lots of Japanese films in Iran. How did you like it? We just suggest you find another job to use your knowledge since you can speak English as well. The job you are thinking now sounds not very secure, doesn't it? Anyway good luck!
